Jeans have been the most popular type of clothing in recent decades, regardless of age. As an indispensable fastener, the zipper of jeans is always used frequently. After many times of use, the zipper is likely to be no longer smooth, or even not working properly. Here are some tips on using jeans zippers that might help you. More importantly, whether it's Water Resistant Zipper, Invisible Zipper, Long Chain Zipper, or Metal Fashion Zipper, we need to carefully maintain them to extend their service life.

Usually the zipper used for jeans is Brass Zipper, because compared with Plastic Zipper and Nylon Zipper , Metal Zipper is more solid. And the hard nature of the metal makes it more suitable for jeans. But at the same time, the metal zipper is more likely to produce the phenomenon of unsmooth opening and closing. Hair spray can achieve the effect of rapid repair. Spray it on the teeth of the zipper, and it will produce enough hardness and viscosity on the surface of these teeth to fix the zipper in place. Please pay attention to appropriate use.

You can also use a key-chain ring or a short length of wire to keep the Jeans Zipper up. Thread the ring or wire through the eye in the zipper puller and then loop it over the button that closes up the front of the jeans. Do this while unbuttoned and then you can button-up to hide the ring and hold it in place.

If you can find a safety pin, you can try to put the pin through the eye of the chain puller, and then put the safety pin through the jeans cloth, so that it won't rub your skin. Be careful not to stick the pin on your body .

If you have some superglue or other glue handy then you can use it to roughen the zipper teeth enough to hold the zipper up. Just dab small amounts on the teeth at the top of the zipper and let it dry. Don`t place too much in one spot – you just want to roughen the teeth, not block the jeans zipper from going up and down. Once the glue has dried thoroughly, zip up the pants and see if the zipper stays in place. If not, try adding more glue in small and careful increments. If you don`t have superglue then fingernail varnish or glue for false nails might do the job. In the event that you overdo it try using acetone to soften or remove the glue.

I hope these skills can help you. But when the zipper is seriously damaged, we have to replace it with a new one.
