Metal buttons are very common and are used as a fastener, often for clothing or other items for fastening or decoration. Our company produces a variety of metal buttons, Metal Jeans Rivet, Copper Jeans Button, Alloy Jeans Button, Jean Button Rivet, Metal Snap Buttons ,Sewing Buckles, coat Buckles etc. In order to facilitate your choice, we need to explain the process of metal buttons
The production process of each high-quality button is very complicated. As far as metal buttons are concerned, their production process can be divided into stamping process, die-casting process and combined process.
So what is the difference between metal and alloy?Generally speaking, metal buttons produced by stamping process are considered as metal products, while those produced by die-casting process are usually known as alloy products.Metal buttons mainly include: snap fasteners, prong snap buttons, jeans buttons, rivets, eyelets, hooks, etc.Alloy buttons mainly include: buckles, brooches, etc.
Stamping Process
Stamping process takes advantage of the plastic deformation and elastic ability of some metal materials like copper, iron and aluminum. Metal materials will be transformed into the required shape by press machine through pressing and punching, the state of which will not be changed during the whole manufacturing process.
Production process: making mould – cutting raw material into strips – stamping – surface treatment – assembly – quality inspection – packaging and delivery
Die-casting Process
Metal solution is injected into the metal mould cavity under high pressure and formed various parts after cooling. Different form stamping process, die-casting process usually uses non-ferrous metals with low melting point, such as zinc alloy and lead-tin alloy.
Production process: making mould – die casting – trimming burrs – polishing – surface treatment – assembly – quality inspection – packaging and delivery
Combined Process
Combined process is adopted when a product contains both of the above two different processes or when a product are composed of metal material and other materials. The production cycle of metal buttons will vary greatly according to the complexity of manufacturing process and the volume of products.
