Auto-lock zipper on shoes

Some zippers for shoes require automatic or semi-automatic sliders to prevent the zippers from opening themselves during walking. The auto-lock slider works through a locking mechanism, and the slider will not slide up or down unless the pull tab is tightened. In other words, these sliders can be held in place without falling off the zipper chain during use.

The semi-automatic locking slider will not slide smoothly unless the tab is lifted or raised to release the locking pin. This type of slider may not work properly, and the zipper teeth are easily damaged during operation.
